Men's Ministry
Purpose Statement
Lake Ellen Baptist Church's Men's Ministry will arm men
by helping them discover how they have been uniquely
called to be Godly men, Godly husbands, and Godly
fathers; and equip them to be faithful disciples of the Lord.
Activities
Men's Gatherings - Usually held at 7:00pm on the fourth
Thursday of the month. We gather to enjoy a great time of
fellowship and encouragement. The evening includes a
speaker or presentation that directly relates to the
ministry's purpose. Oh yeah, as with all 'good' Baptists, we
start the evening with a great supper together.
Special Events - Approximately once per quarter we plan
a special event for men and their sons. Past examples
include: a weekend trip to attend a Promise Keepers
conference, fishing trips, bowling, or a golf scramble.
Disaster Recovery Mission Trips - In previous years we
have sent teams to Mississippi and western Florida to help
families recover from hurricane damage.
Community Service - On a more informal and impromptu
basis, we assist those in need by helping with repairs and
providing some Christian manpower.
